OVARIAN SIGNS IN ECTOPIC PREGNANCY

• Usually on the ipsilateral side of the ectopic pregnancy.
• Inseparable from the ovary.
  NB: The diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy is largely based on separating the mass or sac from the ovary. Ovarian ectopics are so rare that any mass that cannot be separated from the ovary is more likely to represent a corpus luteal cyst. When an adnexal mass is present, there are a high number of false positive diagnoses of EP if its extra-ovarian location is not documented.
• A large exophytic mass may be difficult to differentiate from a tubal mass.
