• Mesonephric parenchyma and duct regresses.
• Paramesonephric duct has an intracoelomic coelom that is in close association with the ovary.
• Ovary and paramesonephric duct descend without passing through the abdominal wall and find their final location within the pelvis.
• Inferior portions of paramesonephric duct fuse along midline forming the uterus.
• Vagina forms from canalization of a block of tissue from the urogenital sinus.
• External genitalia form from differentiation of two pairs of folds.
• Medial and smaller folds form the labia minora, while the enlarged lateral folds for the labia majora.
