PLATYSPONDYLY

Platyspondyly is decreased vertebral body height.
There is a low vertebral height / vertebral interspace ratio.

DISORDERS THAT HAVE PLATYSPONDYLY

1. Thanatophoric dysplasia.
2. Osteogenesis imperfecta Type II.
3. Morquio's syndrome.
4. Atelosteogenesis type 1 (micromelia, decreased bone ossification; lethal form of dwarfism).
5. Kniest syndrome (autosomal dominant; kyphoscoliosis, shortened tubular bones).
6. Metatrophic dysplasia (severe kyphoscoliosis, narrow chest, metaphyseal flaring).
7. Spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia congenital (autosomal dominant; short spine, kyphoscoliosis, lordosis).
